Steven is currently playing for the Carolina Railhawks and was selected in the third round (30thoverall) of the 2007 MLS SuperDraft on 1/12/07 by Real Salt Lake.

College

A four-year letterman at Wake Forest under Coach Jay Vidovich. Steve finished his career at Wake with15 goals and 21 assists in 81 appearances (57 starts).

2006: Led a loaded Demon Deacons squad in games played (23), assists (8), points (20), and shots (50) and finished tied for second in goals (6)

2005: Started in all 20 games played and scored five goals and three assists before suffering a knee injury that kept him out of the NCAA Tournament ... Named to All-ACC Tournament Team and his second All-ACC Academic Team

2004: Scored one goal and added four assists in 18 games (17 starts) as a sophomore

2003: Started 13 of his 20 games during a standout freshman season in which he scored nine goals

and 13 assists. Named to the All-ACC Freshman Team.

International

Participated in the United States Under-17 National Team Residency Program in Bradenton, Fla. from 2002-03.

Helped the U.S. U-17s to a 2-0-1 record and first-place finish in the 2003 CONCACAF Group A Qualifying Tournament that put the Americans through to the 2003 FIFA U-17 World Cup

Started in three of the U.S. U-17 MNT's four contests at the FIFA U-17 World Cup in Finland in August of 2003, playing alongside teammates Freddy Adu and Jamie Watson

Scored a goal on 8/14 vs. South Korea in a 6-1 rout to open play in the 2003 FIFA U-17 World Cup

Also started in the USA's 2-1 victory over Sierra Leone on 8/17 that clinched a spot in the Quarterfinals and a 3-0 defeat to eventual champion Brazil on 8/24 in the quarters

Earned three caps (one start) as a member of the U.S. Under-20 MNT in 2004

Played in nine contests overall as a member of the U-20s.

High School

Played two years at Athens Drive High School in Raleigh, N.C. before moving to Bradenton, Fla., where

he attended the Edison Academic Center from 2002-03 while at the U.S. Under-17 Residency Program

Named a McDonald's High School All-American and Parade All-American in 2003

Played club soccer for the CASL (Capital Area Soccer League) Elite in Raleigh, N.C. ... Led CASL to the 2000 Super Y-League National Championship and was named tournament's MVP.
